Igire Foundation (IF), is a Non-Government Organization, registered in the Netherlands with KVK number 70882266. Igire Foundation is non-political and non-profit making.
It works with direct and indirect beneficiaries whom the majority are the poor and vulnerable women, and women and girls at risk of gender based issues living in Rwandan rural areas.
Igire foundation was created to help the poor and vulnerable women living in rural areas by empowering them in any area that they feel potential for improving their livelihood in sustainable manner. The major focus is on empowering them to establish and sustain income generating activities.
For the foundation to achieve sustainable improved livelihood status of poor and vulnerable women, policy advocacy, capacity building and influencing will be one of the main objective of the foundation. Evidence-based policy advocacy shall be integrated into all foundation program interventions. Advocacy dialogues at international national and local levels will be organized as advocacy forums.
